Great to meet you!

I've spent 20+ years working with people who are smart, self-aware, and still stuck — and there's a reason for that. Insight alone doesn't change deeply worn patterns. What does change them is combining the right clinical approach with someone who actually understands what you're carrying. I work with adults, teens, and children across Kansas via telehealth, and I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and ADHD — as well as LGBTQIA+ affirming care, substance use, and maternal mental health.

My style is direct and warm. I'm not a head-nodding, "how does that make you feel?" therapist. I'll ask hard questions when they're needed, and I'll be in your corner every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and Motivational Interviewing — matched to what's actually happening for you, not applied as a one-size formula. For trauma and PTSD, CPT is my primary framework. It's one of the most rigorously tested trauma treatments available, and it works by directly addressing how traumatic experiences have shaped the way you see yourself and the world — not by asking you to relive everything. For anxiety, depression, and ADHD, I use CBT and ACT to help you build real coping tools, not just awareness of the problem. Strength-based thinking runs through everything I do — because you already have more capacity than you're currently accessing. My job is to help you find it.

What you can expect from me

Expect to feel heard — not assessed. The first session is a real conversation, not a checklist. I want to understand what's bringing you in, what you've tried before, and what kind of change would actually matter to you. We'll talk through what's going on in your life right now, what hasn't worked, and where you'd like to be. By the end, you'll have a sense of what working together would look like and whether it feels like the right fit — because fit matters. Telehealth sessions make this easy: join from your phone, laptop, or tablet from anywhere in Kansas. Morning, afternoon, and some evening slots are available. Book through Headway and I'll see you soon.
