Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Marilyn, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship and family challenges, trauma, self-esteem, and difficult life transitions. You may feel stuck in patterns you understand but haven't been able to change, overwhelmed by your emotions, disconnected in your relationships, or simply ready to better understand yourself and what you need.

My goal is to create a space where you can be open about what you're experiencing while also working toward meaningful change. Together, we'll explore what's contributing to the challenges you're facing, recognize patterns that may no longer be serving you, and develop healthier ways of thinking, communicating, and responding.

My approach to therapy

I believe meaningful change begins with creating a safe space to explore the experiences that have shaped how we see ourselves and the world around us. In our work together, we'll explore the roots of current patterns and behaviors, including those that may have once served an important purpose but no longer feel helpful.

My approach is collaborative, warm, and active. I use a combination of exploration, cognitive reframing, skill building, and psychoeducation to help you develop healthier ways of thinking and responding. Depending on your needs, our work may focus on managing anxiety and stress, strengthening relationships, processing past experiences, improving self-esteem, or developing greater awareness of how your thoughts, emotions, and experiences influence one another.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, we'll spend time talking about the areas of your life that are causing you the most distress. We'll work collaboratively to identify your goals and develop a direction for treatment that feels meaningful and relevant to you.

I offer more than just a space to talk or a list of homework assignments. I work alongside my clients to uncover the underlying reasons behind current patterns, increase awareness of how the mind and body respond to experiences, and build practical skills that can create change outside of therapy. You can expect me to be warm and supportive while also challenging you when it can help you grow.
