Great to meet you!

I believe therapy works when you feel genuinely understood, respected, and safe enough to be yourself. As a licensed psychologist with nearly 30 years of experience, I bring both deep clinical experience and a practical, down-to-earth approach to helping people navigate life transitions, stress and anxiety, relationship or occupational challenges, and periods when life simply feels overwhelming. I work collaboratively with clients to understand not only what is happening, but the experiences and patterns that may be shaping it. My goal is to create a warm, thoughtful space where we can make sense of what you’re experiencing, build on your strengths, and help you move toward meaningful and lasting change

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and individualized to each person. I draw from cognitive behavioral, relational, and insight-oriented approaches, helping clients understand how past experiences and patterns influence the present. I believe insight is most useful when it leads to meaningful change, so our work may include both exploring deeper roots of concerns and developing practical strategies for navigating life differently. Above all, I want therapy to feel like a genuine partnership — one that builds on your strengths while helping you create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, and what you would most like to change. I will ask questions about your current concerns, important experiences and relationships, and what has or hasn’t been helpful in the past, but you will never be expected to tell your whole story at once! We will begin identifying what you hope to gain from therapy and talk about how we might work together to get there. Most importantly, our first session is also your opportunity to get a sense of me and decide whether you feel comfortable, understood, and hopeful about working together.
