Great to meet you!

Hi there! Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Marina and I have a dual Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy from Barry University in Miami, Florida. I am also dually licensed as LMFT and an LMHC. I have been working at a nonprofit that serves children and families for the past six years doing play therapy with children who have been victims of abuse. I also have experience working with adults and couples for the past four years.

A bit about my approach to therapy

So few places in life do we feel comfortable enough or feel permitted to be ourselves. I strive to create the environment in my sessions where my clients feel totally comfortable being themselves and sharing whatever is on their mind without judgment.

Some theoretical approaches that I use with my clients include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (Tapping) and EMDR.

What you can expect from our first session

I am open-minded, easy-going, flexible, and compassionate. Whether you want more structured therapy goals and sessions, want to learn new coping skills, or just want a safe space to process your thoughts and feelings, I am here to support you.

I have worked with many clients who have experienced a reduction in their symptoms of anxiety and depression and have experienced increased harmony in their personal relationships as the result of our work together.

Marina's style is

Open-minded

Affirming
