Great to meet you!

I’m Mario Luckett, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 4 years of experience helping adults navigate substance use, trauma, PTSD, anger, relationships, and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting men who may be struggling with emotions, relationships, identity, or the pressures of everyday life.

I believe therapy should be a warm, respectful, and judgment-free space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing. I take the time to understand your story, what matters to you, and what you want to change rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, working through past experiences, struggling in your relationships, or ready to make a change, we’ll work together to build greater self-awareness, healthier coping skills, and a clearer path forward.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, inquisitive, and individualized. I believe a strong therapeutic relationship starts with feeling safe, respected, and understood, so I take the time to get to know you and understand the experiences and patterns that may be affecting your life today.

I draw from approaches including psychodynamic therapy, CBT, trauma-focused therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and solution-focused techniques. Depending on your needs and goals, we may explore past experiences, relationships, emotions, and behaviors while also developing practical tools you can use in everyday life.

I’ll meet you where you are while helping you gain insight, build on your strengths, and take meaningful steps toward the changes you want to make.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk about what brought you to therapy, and explore what you hope to accomplish. I understand that starting therapy can feel uncomfortable, so there’s no expectation that you have everything figured out or know exactly what to say.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions, listen to your experiences, and work to create a space where you feel comfortable being open and honest. We’ll begin identifying your goals and what meaningful progress could look like for you.

My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and confident that we have a direction to work toward together.
