Great to meet you!

I'm a trauma-informed therapist with a background in Child Welfare and injury rehabilitation. I work with teens and adults of all ages navigating identity disruption, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, day-to-day life stressors, system-induced trauma, and the lasting impact of family violence and community conflict. I've learned that although progress can feel inaccessible or slow, by tapping into people's resiliency and strengths change will naturally arise. I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, and take seriously the role that our upbringing and culture play in how we experience the world.

My approach to therapy

I use a strengths-based approach as the foundation of my interventions, coming from a place of hope that change is possible. I enjoy empowering people as they grapple with life transitions and self-discovery. I find that providing psychoeducation regarding trauma normalizes the responses and symptoms clients face, and allows them to see a path forward. I support clients in connecting how their experiences with abuse and neglect, racism and bias, and societal pressures impact their present-day life. I'm trained in Internal Family Systems (level I), and am rostered in Child Parent Psychotherapy. I have experience in therapy models including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Mindfulness-based therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

What you can expect from me

My clients describe me as calm, insightful, funny, and a patient listener who takes time to be there alongside them as they process difficult emotions and make connections as to how their past experiences are impacting the present-day. Whether you find yourself in crisis, feeling stuck and lost, or hesitant to talk to a therapist in the first place, we'll wade through things together. I have a consistent yoga practice, and like to incorporate deep breathing and mindfulness practices into my sessions. People often come away from our sessions feeling as though a pressure valve has been released, and a little weight has been lifted.
