Marisa Amelung, MSN, PMHNP-BC, APN, is a master's prepared, board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) extern. She currently serves clients ages 18+ at Peak Interactive Wellness in Denver, Colorado.
Marisa graduated from the University of Central Florida with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and attended Frontier Nursing University where she earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
Prior to pursuing her passion in mental health, Marisa worked as a women’s health nurse and is especially passionate about maternal mental health and reducing the stigma surrounding perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
At Peak Interactive Wellness, Marisa offers treatment options for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, attention disturbances and trauma.
Marisa works with clients to create an individualized treatment plan that focuses on the whole person and values client involvement and evidence based practice. Treatment plans may incorporate medication management, life-style changes and supportive therapies. Marisa strives to create a safe, warm, non-judgmental space where client’s can feel empowered to share their unique story.
