Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Marisa Ciaravino a licensed clinician in the state of New York. I pride myself in my ability to ensure my clients feel safe, heard and cared for. My ability to listen without judgment and provide transparent and thoughtful insight is the driving point of my success within this field. I genuinely love this work and look forward to the opportunity to work together to achieve your mental health goals!

My approach to therapy

My primary focus is to challenge you from destructive thought patterns or distortions of self through the use of evidenced based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), cognitive reframing and mindfulness techniques. I enjoy listening to my clients and maintaining a humanistic approach, ensuring each therapeutic alliance and experience is reflective of my client's individual and unique emotional needs.

What you can expect from me

First and foremost, you will always remain in the driver seat. Together, we will move at our own pace to build a better understanding and acceptance of self, and address more complex and challenging issues such as trauma, difficult and strained relationships with self/others, anxiety and depression symptoms, along with mood and personality related concerns. Over time you will gain clarity on individual needs and build healthy coping skills for stress to foster a strong relationship with self.
