Great to meet you!

Let’s get UNSTUCK. Therapy doesn’t have to feel overwhelming, and healing and growth don’t have to come through more pain.

You may understand exactly what's causing a certain feeling or response and yet it still happens. You know you're safe but your mind/body responds as though you are not. You know you are capable but something keeps getting in the way.

I work with adults, teens, and children navigating trauma, anxiety, fears and phobias, guilt, shame, fear of judgement, grief, life transitions, perinatal experiences, and performance-related stressors. I also work with people who recognize something is getting in the way of how they'd like to be and are interested in accessing and perhaps expanding their potential.

Many of the people I work with have already put a lot of thought and effort into feeling better and gaining insight. You don’t have to have it figured out before you get here. My clients tend to be curious, motivated, and open to coloring a little outside of the lines. They often appreciate an active therapeutic process focused on creating clarity and change.

Sometimes the goal is deep relief from something painful. Sometimes it’s greater confidence, freedom, or the ability to show up more fully as yourself.

I’m a Rapid Resolution Therapy Certified Specialist and a National Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, with additional training in Brainspotting and other experiential and strength-based approaches.

My approach to therapy

I’m less interested in asking you to work harder or learn more ways to manage a response that is no longer useful and more interested in shifting the response at the level it's being generated, often outside of conscious awareness. There may also be skills to strengthen or develop. Often that is easier when old patterns are longer running in the background. My work integrates neuroscience, storytelling, imagery, solution-focused and experiential approaches, including Rapid Resolution Therapy (RRT), Brainspotting—an alternative to EMDR—and clinical hypnotherapy. These approaches can help create change beyond conscious analysis and don’t require repeatedly reliving painful experiences in order to heal.

Change doesn’t have to require more struggle or years of therapy. My intention is that our time together is beneficial without feeling heavy. Humor and creativity are often part of the process. Sometimes a different experience can be transformative, creating greater clarity and new possibilities.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other. Together we'll explore what's bringing you to therapy, where you've been feeling stuck, and what you'd like to be different. We'll begin identifying goals, what would be most useful moving forward and where it makes sense to start. My sessions are active, intentional, and collaborative. I don't expect you to know exactly what you need or how to get there. In fact, I don't think it's your job to figure it out.
