Great to meet you!

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or caught in patterns you can’t seem to break? You’re not alone—and you don’t have to stay there.

I help individuals and families navigate addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges so they can create real, lasting change—not just temporary relief.

I’m Marisa, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and founder of Vantage Point Therapy, LLC. My approach is both compassionate and direct. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space while also helping you gently challenge the thoughts and behaviors that keep you feeling stuck.

Using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, ACT, and solution-focused therapy, we’ll uncover patterns, build practical tools, and focus on progress you can actually use in your daily life.

If you’re looking for honest support, deeper insight, and meaningful change—not just a place to vent—you’ll feel at home here.

I’m deeply passionate about this work because I’ve seen how powerful therapy can be when you feel both supported and empowered. My goal is to help you gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and move forward with confidence and purpose.

My approach to therapy

During our first few sessions, we will focus on understanding your story, identifying the challenges you’re currently facing, and clarifying the goals you want to work toward. From there, we begin building practical tools and strategies that help you feel more in control and confident in your daily life. I draw from evidence-based approaches, to help clients build practical strategies for long-term recovery and emotional well-being. However, I strongly believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all, so I tailor each session to your individual needs, strengths, and goals.

What you can expect from me

There’s no pressure to tell your whole story perfectly or have everything figured out. We’ll talk about what’s been going on lately, what brought you in, and what you’re hoping feels different. You set the pace.

I’ll ask questions to help us understand the bigger picture, such as what patterns you’re noticing, what’s been feeling hardest, and where you feel most stuck. We’ll also go over a bit of background so I can get a sense of what’s shaped your experience, but we won’t get lost in details that don’t feel useful.

Most importantly, the first session is about fit. It’s a space for you to get a feel for how I work and decide if this feels like a place you can actually be honest and comfortable.

You don’t need to prepare anything. Just show up as you are—we’ll take it from there.
