Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Marisa! I am here to help you heal, accept, prosper, and lay down any burdens that have kept you feeling stuck. I specialize in helping adults heal from developmental and relational trauma, grief & loss, and self-exploration. Trauma and grief change our patterns of relating to ourselves and the world around us. Together, we can develop psychological flexibility, alter behaviors that are holding you back, and implement security back into your life. I'm here to hear your story!

My approach to therapy

I provide a safe space for authenticity, vulnerability, and alliance as we have all experienced times of feeling misunderstood, lost, and alone. As a social worker, I take a holistic approach, considering your physical, psychological, and social well-being to best personalize what you need in our sessions. I take a collaborative approach where I will participate in this journey with you as a helpful guide, ally, and trusted other.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, I will integrate mindfulness, psychoeducation, skill-building, curiosity, and compassion. We will learn how to uncover the "unseen" and better understand how past experiences affect our subjective reality. Let's work together so I may help you re-define what no longer serves you and assist you in creating a meaningful and values-based life.
