Great to meet you!

Hi there! I'm Marisa and I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida with years of experience helping individuals struggling with anxiety, PTSD, depression and trauma break free from their past so that they can go from surviving to thriving. My goal for my clients is to inspire them to overcome challenges, develop resilience and reclaim peace for their life. Together we can navigate life's hardest moments and find strength on the other side.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy varies pertaining to each of my client's individual needs and goals. I mainly utilize a CBT (Cognitive behavioral therapy) approach with clients to help change thinking patterns along with behaviors that are no longer serving a purpose. In addition to CBT, I also utilize other treatment modalities and interventions to help my clients reach their full potential and the desired goals they have set for themselves.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my top priority is building trust and rapport with my clients while providing them with a safe, authentic, and nonjudgmental space where they can feel at ease and be seen, heard, understood, and empowered. My clients and I continuously collaborate throughout the therapeutic process on their goals, outcomes for themselves, and treatment plans to help them be the most successful on their healing journey.
