Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in working with college athletes, college students, and young adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, performance pressure, injury recovery, burnout, and identity-related challenges. As a first-generation college graduate with professional experience supporting college athletes, I understand the unique stressors that can come with balancing academics, athletics, cultural expectations, and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and client-centered, meaning I meet clients where they are while helping them work toward meaningful growth and change at a pace that feels comfortable and manageable for them. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental, and emotionally safe space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to openly process life’s challenges and experiences. I utilize evidence-based approaches including CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing to help clients build emotional awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with their strengths. I also incorporate cultural humility into my work and recognize the unique experiences of college athletes, young adults, and individuals from multicultural and BIPOC communities.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, I will begin by introducing myself and creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel comfortable showing up as you are. We will have a conversation about what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from the therapeutic process. There is no pressure to share deep personal experiences or dive into trauma during the first session, we will move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. We will also discuss your goals for therapy and answer any questions you may have so you can feel informed, supported, and empowered as we begin working together.
