Great to meet you!

Hi! I'm Marissa. Thank you for taking the first step in caring for yourself—it's not always easy, and I'm glad you're here. Life can be incredibly hard sometimes, and it often feels overwhelming when we think we have to navigate it alone. The good news is, you don’t have to. I'm here to walk alongside you.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Argosy University in 2017 and my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University in 2021.

My experience includes working in Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) settings, where I supported individuals through complex emotional and behavioral challenges. In private practice, I work with teens and individuals facing a wide range of concerns, including trauma, personality disorders, depression, suicidal ideation, marital conflict, divorce, and anger management.

My approach to therapy

In my work with clients, I take a collaborative and client centered approach to address challenges like anxiety, trauma, substance use, depression, and whatever life throws our way. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard and understood, and where we can work together to build resilience, develop insight, and create lasting, meaningful change.

I work alongside my clients to identify their goals and support them in making progress toward their ideal future. Clients are the true experts of their own lives, knowing what brings them meaning. My commitment is to help them tap into and strengthen their unique abilities, guiding them toward the life they envision.

What you can expect from me

First things first, don't be nervous. We’ll begin with an intake session to understand your needs, mental health history, and any challenges you're facing. This helps us decide if we’re a good match to work together. Therapists aren’t one-size-fits-all, and my goal is to help you get the support you need—whether that's with me or through a referral to someone who might be a better fit.

My goal is to provide that space and support to help clients navigate through life and find solutions that work for them. I work with my clients to identify and help facilitate progress towards their goals and preferred future. Clients are the experts on their lives and know what give it meaning. I am dedicated in helping clients cultivate and engage their strengths to achieve their desired path of life.
