I started my mental health career at University of Southern California where I obtained my Master in Social Work degree. Over time I transitioned to working in Residential, PHP and IOP programs throughout Southern California, as an individual therapist. Now in Illinois, I have specialized training in EMDR and DBT and have extensive experience working with adult women who struggle with addiction and mental health struggles.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe in living as your best and most authentic self, and I utilize a skills based approach to help clients change undesired behavior patterns. My goal is to assist clients in coping with their emotions and stress, changing self-destructive behaviors, and also to support them in connecting with others. I offer a safe space where we can work together to find solutions to problems and new ways of thinking.

What you can expect from our first session

I offer supportive counseling that is solution focused and targets uncomfortable symptoms and behavior. I have found that a mind-body approach in counseling offers quicker and longer lasting relief of symptoms. I work with adults, my ideal client is curious and motivated to change. Together, we create treatment goals and strategies that reflect the unique needs of the individual.
