Hi, I'm Maritza! I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Southern California (USC) and a Doctor of Social Work (DSW) from California Baptist University. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California, offering therapy services in both English and Spanish. As a bilingual Latina, I’m passionate about providing culturally responsive, compassionate care. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. I am committed to creating an inclusive and affirming therapeutic space for individuals from diverse backgrounds, and I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other emotional and life challenges. With cultural awareness and clinical expertise, I collaborate closely with each client to clarify meaningful goals and create a personalized path forward. My approach is eclectic and tailored to your unique needs, drawing from mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), client-centered therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when appropriate. Together, we will build practical coping tools, process difficult experiences, and foster deeper self-understanding to support lasting growth and healing.
