Hi, I’m Maritza! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas and the owner of Rooted & Renewed Counseling PLLC.

I’ve worked in the mental health field for over 10 years and have experience serving a variety of populations including crisis response, Christian counseling, parenting, marriage and couples, undocumented minors, domestic violence, and in-patient psychiatric facilities.

Fun fact: Rooted & Renewed Counseling is an assignment; I was minding my business working my regular full-time gig & God decided to call me back to Christian counseling—this time focused specifically on serving women. Talk about a plot twist! I’m grateful for the opportunity to blend clinical interventions and biblical truth, because it’s 1000% okay to love Jesus and have a therapist.

As a Christian Therapist, my style is a balance of grace and truth--I offer empathy while also helping clients recognize patterns, take ownership, and move toward the healing and renewal that God desires for them.
