Great to meet you!

Do you find yourself getting in your own way? Starting strong and then quietly pulling back the moment things start going well? Procrastinating on what matters most, avoiding the conversation you need to have, or finding yourself back in a pattern you swore you'd outgrown? Self-sabotage rarely announces itself. It usually shows up disguised as fear, as comfort, as "I'll start tomorrow," as a reason that sounds perfectly logical in the moment.

I'm a licensed clinical and school psychologist with over 30 years of experience, and I work with women who are ready to understand and change the patterns that keep them stuck, even when part of them genuinely wants something different. Together, we look honestly at what's getting in your own way and build the skills and self-awareness to do something different.

My approach to therapy

I believe the therapeutic relationship itself is where much of the healing happens. I offer a warm, supportive, and genuinely collaborative space where you can practice being honest about the patterns that have been running the show, perhaps for the first time. My approach is nurturing yet goal-directed, blending psychodynamic and insight-oriented work with cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and other approaches tailored to each client, along with somatic mindfulness practices that reconnect you to your body. When these patterns have roots in past painful experiences, we explore that history with care and at your pace. Together, we work on understanding what your self-sabotage has been protecting you from, so you can finally choose differently.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is simply a conversation, a chance for me to get to know you, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope will be different in your life. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready to. I'll ask questions about your history, your relationships, and the patterns you'd like to change, and together we'll begin shaping goals that feel meaningful to you. My goal is for you to leave that first session feeling relieved and hopeful, finally seen, and with a genuine sense that change is possible. It would be a privilege to help you recognize your own worth, release the patterns that keep you stuck, and move toward the life you actually want.
