Great to meet you!

Hello, and welcome!

I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) licensed psychologist in Texas and Puerto Rico with 17 years of clinical experience, providing evidence-based care tailored to each person’s unique needs, culture, values, and goals. I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, caregiving challenges, life transitions, and the challenges that can accompany aging, drawing on seven years of experience working with older adults in nursing home settings. As an ordained Christian minister and missionary with over 44 years of ministry experience, I also offer a Christian-informed approach for clients who desire to integrate their faith and values into therapy. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where you can gain insight, rediscover your strengths, and find hope as you move toward meaningful growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, collaborative and personalized. Together, we can work toward greater emotional well-being and personal growth while developing the strategies you need to navigate daily life.

What you can expect from me

Beginning therapy can feel intimidating and may bring feelings of vulnerability. I understand that sharing personal experiences, emotional pain, and past wounds with someone you have never met can be difficult. For this reason, I recognize that you are the expert on your own story and experiences, and I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment where you can feel comfortable sharing at your own pace.

During the first session, I’ll ask questions to better understand you, your concerns, and what brings you to therapy. This will help us identify your needs and goals and guide our work together. You are also encouraged to ask questions about the therapy process or share any concerns you may have.
