We are pleased to introduce Dr. Marjan Naghavi, a skilled provider with a strong educational background in mental health services and special education. Dr. Naghaviholds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and a Doctorate in Education. She isa licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and is currently obtaining licensure inArizona.
With many years of experience in the school system, Dr. Naghavi brings a wealth ofknowledge in addressing mental health challenges in youth and their families. Herapproach incorporates a family/caregiver system perspective and utilizes varioustherapeutic modalities, including Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic, and CognitiveBehavior Therapy (CBT) techniques. In addition to individual therapy, Dr. Naghavi alsoprovides group and family therapy. She offers consultation and training services tomultidisciplinary teams and schools, ensuring high-quality continuity of services.
Dr. Naghavi's area of specialization is providing mental health support to children,adolescents, young adults, and adults struggling with emotional and behavioralchallenges, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit HyperactivityDisorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), and Disruptive MoodDysregulation Disorder (DMD) diagnoses. Her experience also includes effectivelyaddressing co-occurring diagnoses of anxiety and depression.
