Great to meet you!

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood changes, and life transitions, offering thoughtful psychiatric care that balances medication management with supportive, goal-oriented therapy.

I’m Marjourie Mayorga, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 15 years of experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. I integrate medication management with evidence-based approaches such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy to help patients feel more stable, focused, and like themselves again.

I take a holistic and culturally aware approach, considering each person’s background, values, and goals when creating a treatment plan. I’m bilingual (English/Spanish) and strive to provide a safe, inclusive space where you feel heard, supported, and actively involved in your care.

My approach to therapy

I believe effective mental health care should be personalized, collaborative, and practical. My approach combines thoughtful medication management with supportive, goal-oriented therapy to help you feel more stable, focused, and functional in your daily life.

I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused strategies, while tailoring care to your specific needs and goals. Sessions are structured but flexible, with space to address both symptoms and the challenges you’re facing in real time.

I also look at the whole picture, including sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, and cultural identity, to create a treatment plan that feels realistic, respectful, and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a structured, collaborative, and supportive visit focused on understanding your symptoms, history, and goals. We’ll review what’s been going on for you, discuss your mental health concerns in detail, and talk through treatment options together.

If medication is appropriate, we’ll review benefits, side effects, and alternatives so you feel informed and involved in the decision-making process. I also incorporate brief, evidence-based therapeutic strategies and psychoeducation to help you better understand your symptoms and begin making practical changes right away.

I take a whole-person approach, considering factors such as sleep, stress, relationships, physical health, and cultural background when developing your care plan. You should leave the session feeling heard, respected, and clear about next steps, with a treatment plan that feels realistic, supportive, and tailored to you.
