Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Mark Bayard, a Licensed Mental Health Therapist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through life’s challenges. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, supportive space where you can show up as your authentic self without fear of judgment.

I work with people who may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns of overthinking, or navigating difficult transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy for support with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, burnout, identity exploration, or substance use challenges.

My goal is to walk alongside you as we make sense of what you’re experiencing and help you move toward a life that feels more balanced, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, supportive, and practical. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you and identify strategies that help you feel more grounded and empowered in your daily life.

I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, along with mindfulness techniques that support emotional awareness and stress reduction. I tailor therapy to each person’s needs so that the work we do together feels relevant and helpful for your unique situation.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other in a comfortable, supportive environment. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been going on in your life, and what you hope to gain from this process.

I may ask questions about your background, current challenges, and the goals you’d like to work toward. Just as importantly, this session gives you the chance to see if you feel comfortable working with me.

If you’re attending virtually and prefer not to be on camera, that’s completely okay. My priority is creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and able to engage in a way that works best for you.
