I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a graduate of Rutgers University (MSW). With 18 years of experience as a therapist, my belief is that we are born with the ability to self-generate the changes we might be seeking at any point in one's life-span.
Therapy is a collaboration: client and therapist cooperatively removing those "inner" obstacles that can block the natural growth process--that can make us feel so dishearteningly stuck or so hopelessly overwhelmed.
The expectation is always that my clients will find reward in this focused collaboration, as well as in its results--and in as few sessions as possible.
