Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel a little like deciding to clean out the attic—you know it's probably a good idea, but that doesn't make opening the door any easier. Resistance is part of the process. In fact, I expect it. We all have parts of ourselves that would rather stay comfortably hidden.

What I've learned over the past 18 years is that meaningful change doesn't come from having all the answers. It comes from having a place where you can say the things you've never felt safe saying before, at your own pace, without fear of judgment.

My approach to therapy

My job isn't to tell you who you should be. It's to help you understand yourself more deeply so you can decide who you want to become.

I draw from Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailoring my approach to fit you rather than expecting you to fit a particular model. Sometimes you'll need a coach who gently challenges you. Sometimes you'll need a collaborator who helps untangle a problem. And sometimes you'll simply need someone who can sit with you in the hard moments and remind you that your feelings make sense.

What you can expect from me

Therapy is a partnership built on curiosity, honesty, and a little courage. You don't have to arrive with everything figured out—you just have to be willing to begin.
