Great to meet you!

With over 30 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families from all walks of life. I have extensive experience helping individuals navigate stressful life transitions, including retirement, relocation, career changes, job loss, relationship challenges, divorce, and grief and loss.

I also work with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, social anxiety, relationship concerns, and the emotional impact of unexpected life events. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of success, and I strive to create a space where we work together as equal partners toward meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

My approach is collaborative, practical, and solution-focused. I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an evidence-based treatment that helps people understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we'll identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier perspectives, and build effective coping strategies for managing life's challenges.

I tailor treatment to your individual needs, incorporating other evidence-based techniques when appropriate. My focus is on helping you develop practical skills, improve emotional well-being, strengthen resilience, and create lasting positive change that extends beyond our sessions.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant personal history, and the goals you'd like to accomplish. I'll also answer any questions you have about the therapy process and work with you to develop an initial treatment plan that reflects your priorities.

Most importantly, my goal is for you to leave the first session feeling comfortable, understood, and hopeful that together we can create a clear path toward improving your well-being.
