Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I bring over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, working with individuals, families, and children across a wide range of challenges, including ADHD, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. I’ve had the opportunity to support diverse populations, including LGBTQ individuals, older adults, those in foster care, and couples and families.

I strive to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I won’t talk at you or force a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I focus on meeting you where you are and working together to identify goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you.

I also believe that reaching out for help is a strong and important step. My role is to support you with compassion, honesty, and practical guidance so you can move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is centered on meeting you where you are. I believe that effective counseling starts with truly listening, so you feel heard, understood, and not talked at. From there, I take a collaborative and individualized approach, tailoring our work together to your unique needs, experiences, and goals.

I focus on creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can build comfort and trust. This allows us to explore challenges openly while also identifying realistic and meaningful treatment goals. I often incorporate normalization and engagement into my work, helping you feel less alone in what you’re experiencing while staying actively involved in the process.

Ultimately, my goal is to support you in making progress at a pace that feels right for you, while building the insight, skills, and confidence needed to navigate both current concerns and future challenges.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming, relaxed space where the focus is on getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, what’s been going on in your life, and what you’re hoping to get out of the process. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. I move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background, current challenges, and any past experiences with therapy. This helps me get a clear picture of your needs so we can begin identifying goals that feel realistic and meaningful.

Just as importantly, the first session is an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and how I work. Building trust and connection is key, so my goal is for you to leave feeling heard, respected, and supported, with a better understanding of how we can move forward together.
