My approach to therapy

Finding a connection with each other and building a solid therapeutic alliance is the aim of my first session. Together we can see if we are a fit, and if we can work together on finding attainable goals for treatement.

I often use DBT, Choice Theory, and spirituality to facilitate meeting our treatment objectives. Those objectives will include meeting one's Basic Needs for Love & Belonging, Power or a sense of Mastery, Freedom, and Fun.

What you can expect from me

In our first session we want to see if we are a "fit" and therefore if we can work together. I will try to present a genuine self to you, so that you can decide whether my style will help you to get the most out of your therapy.

I'll do my best to listen to you and to reflect what I'm hearing. If it's all working for you, we can move forward to the creation of therapeutic goals.
