Great to meet you!

After serving in the US Army, I earned my Bachelor's degree then Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I had the opportunity to work in an inpatient psychiatric care setting, which was challenging but rewarding. After relocating to Wisconsin, I had the pleasure of working in both residential and outpatient programs for Rawhide Youth Services for 5 years before starting my private practice.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is laid back and informal, as I try not to take myself too seriously. I use my personal experiences with mental health to strengthen our therapeutic relationship, which is essential for change. I believe in equipping you with the knowledge and tools to use throughout your life to overcome the many behavioral and emotional challenges life throws at us. I'm in this with you and invested in your growth as well as prioritizing your emotional wellbeing.

What you can expect from me

I incorporate many different approaches based on your unique needs and adjust based on how treatment is progressing. I provide education and guidance on overcoming your challenges and occasionally assign "homework" to maintain progress between sessions. Finally, I offer a space where you can safely discuss anything without shame or embarrassment. I look forward to working with you!
