Great to meet you!

Being told I "talk too much" in grade school has really worked out for me. I have 15 + years of experience working with diverse populations. Those populations include: homeless persons, LGBTQ+, those with chemical dependency, those living with HIV/AIDS, adolescents, college students, incarcerated persons, and senior adults. My experience and education has afforded me the opportunity to provide psychotherapy (which includes teletherapy), group therapy, consultation, and outreach services. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. I am dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and equity.

My approach to therapy

When it comes to the therapeutic relationship, I believe in honoring all experiences and identities that walk through the door. As a therapist my primary objective is to meet the client where they are and follow their lead on what they desire out of the counseling sessions. Some of my clinical interest include, but not limited to: Self-compassion; Anxiety; Depression; Life adjustment concerns; Relationship concerns (platonic, romantic, family, work-related); Gender Affirming & Questioning; Sexual Orientation Affirming & Questioning; and others. My style and interventions solely depend on the presenting concerns and the client. However, no matter the intervention, as a therapist I always lead with openness and respect because creating a safe space is what I aim for.
