Marla Cannefax

My background includes working with children and adolescents in school districts for almost twenty years as a school psychologist. I worked to evaluate and plan for children with autism, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavior disorders. While working as a school psychologist, I pursued my LPC license in order to provide me the opportunity to work with adults and families. My passion is to help individuals and families identify the current issues and work toward a better future.

I approach therapy as a team with my client(s). Evaluation continues to play a role in helping identity areas of strength and areas for growth. Teaching others strategies to cope with their current emotions while making small, but impactful changes is a strength.

My goal for each session is for my client(s) to feel heard, challenged to make small changes, and leave with hope.
