Great to meet you!

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a Black Latina, and fluent in both English and Spanish. I know how important it is to feel seen as a whole person, not reduced to a diagnosis, a problem, or one part of your identity.

My style is warm, curious, and challenging. I’ll meet you where you are, but I won’t work harder than you do. Therapy with me is collaborative. I’ll ask questions, help you notice patterns, challenge you when needed, and support you as you build insight, confidence, and trust in yourself.

I have experience working with trauma, anxiety, relationships, family concerns, identity, life transitions, stress, and crisis. I especially enjoy working with people who are thoughtful, self-aware, complex, and ready to understand themselves on a deeper level.

My perspective has also been shaped by living and working abroad. I spent time in Tanzania supporting work connected to orphanages and women’s issues, and I lived in Europe for a year. Those experiences deepened my appreciation for culture, resilience, diversity, and the many ways people experience family, identity, community, and belonging.

You can expect me to be honest, engaged, open-minded, and human. There may be laughter in the room, there may be hard conversations, and there will always be space for you to show up as yourself.

You do not have to have everything figured out before you start. Come as you are, and we’ll work from there.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real partnership. I will meet you where you are, listen closely, and help you make sense of the patterns, experiences, and relationships shaping your life. I am warm and supportive, but I will also challenge you when I think something deserves a closer look.

I do not believe in working harder than my clients. I will walk with you, ask thoughtful questions, offer perspective, and help you build insight and confidence, but the work belongs to both of us. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, curious, and fully yourself while still moving toward meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. You do not need to arrive with the perfect words or have everything figured out.

We will talk about what has been happening, what feels most important to you, what you hope might change, and what you need from therapy. I may ask questions that help me understand the bigger picture, but I also want you to get a sense of who I am and whether working together feels like a good fit.

You can expect warmth, curiosity, honesty, and no judgment. We will start where you are and build from there.
