Great to meet you!

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from UMass Chan Medical School. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across a range of mental health concerns, and I currently practice in a pediatric psychiatric setting.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is warm, compassionate, and individualized. I work with clients get to know them as a whole person, better understand their symptoms, identify what may be contributing to these symptoms, and develop a treatment plan that fits their unique needs and goals. I have particular experience treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and emotional and behavioral concerns.

I value a holistic approach to mental health, as the mind-body connection is often greater than we initially realize. Medications are just one piece of the puzzle—one tool in our toolbox. My goal is for medication management, when appropriate, to work alongside therapy, accessible and useful coping skills, mindfulness, and a positive perspective to support my patients’ overall well-being.

I believe psychiatric care should feel like a partnership. My goal is to create a space where clients feel comfortable being open and honest, where they feel heard and supported throughout the treatment process, and where they are an active part of their treatment plan and fully involved in decisions about their care.

What you can expect from me

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and have a conversation about what brings you in. We’ll talk about your current symptoms and concerns, but also about you as a whole person—your life, relationships, stressors, trauma, strengths, and anything else that may be affecting your mental health. We’ll also discuss your goals for treatment and what you’re hoping to get out of our work together.

There’s no need to prepare perfectly or have everything figured out beforehand. My goal is for the first session to feel comfortable, open, and conversational, rather than stressful or overwhelming. We’ll take our time getting to know each other and work together to determine what approach to treatment feels like the best fit for you.
