Great to meet you!

My name is Marlo Shepard, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Louisiana and Mississippi with 20 years of experience. I hold Master degrees in both Marriage and Family Therapy as well as Education. I have spent my professional life in various settings with a range of ages. I have worked a great deal with people with anxiety, depression, emotional management, addiction, and relationship issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is one with a foundation of warmth and collaboration. I place a lot of value on making sure I provide a sense of a respectful and safe environment for you. I believe it is important to find and build on the existing positivity in your life to find the peace and fulfillment you are searching. I like an eclectic therapy approach meaning that you will have an individualized and tailored therapeutic journey to meet your goals based on your input and specific needs.

What you can expect from our first session

I always want to start our therapeutic relationship with your story. It is important to me to hear your journey, your struggles, your hopes, and what you want to achieve in therapy. I understand the courage it takes to share and feel vulnerable, and I am here to support and empower you. With each session, we will work together with conversations and activities that allow you to see your growth and goals being met.
