Great to meet you!

Hello, I’m Marlon Reyes, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master of Science in Nursing. I’m also a United States Marine Corps veteran with over ten years of experience in mental and behavioral health, including seven years as a psychiatric nurse with the Department of Veterans Affairs. My background includes acute psychiatric hospitals, correctional facilities, outpatient clinics, and telehealth. I work with children ages six and older, adolescents, adults, and veterans experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, OCD, schizophrenia, and sleep difficulties. My priority is to create a welcoming environment where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable discussing your concerns.

My approach to therapy

What is your approach to care?

My approach to care combines evidence-based medication management with supportive counseling and practical coping strategies tailored to your needs. I bring a calm, supportive presence and clear, straightforward communication to our appointments. Together, we will explore how your symptoms, daily stressors, and experiences affect your well-being. I explain treatment options, potential benefits, and side effects so you can make informed decisions about your care. We will establish realistic goals and review your progress regularly, adjusting your treatment plan as needed. My priority is to help you feel heard, respected, and actively involved in your care.

What you can expect from me

Our first session focuses on understanding what brings you to care and what you hope to change. We will discuss your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, previous treatment experiences, and personal goals. You can share at your own pace and ask questions throughout the visit. If medication may be helpful, we will review appropriate options and discuss whether lab work or other assessments are needed. By the end of our visit, my goal is for you to feel understood and have a clear plan for the next steps, including follow-up care.
