Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Marylse, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based care for adolescents and adults. I believe seeking support for your mental health is a courageous first step, and I'm committed to creating a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and empowered. I treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, trauma, insomnia, mood disorders, panic attacks, stress, and life transitions. Because every person's journey is unique, I take the time to understand your experiences, strengths, and goals so we can develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs. My approach is rooted in collaboration, trust, and open communication, and I'm here to support you every step of your mental health journey as we work toward lasting wellness together.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is collaborative, patient-centered, and holistic. I believe effective mental health treatment begins with listening and building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, empathy, and mutual respect. Every individual is unique, and I work closely with my clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals and values.

I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychoeducation, supportive therapy, and lifestyle recommendations when appropriate. Through shared decision-making, I ensure you understand your treatment options and feel empowered throughout your care. My goal is not only to reduce symptoms but also to help you build resilience, improve daily functioning, strengthen relationships, and achieve lasting mental wellness.

What you can expect from me

During your first session, you can expect a welcoming, compassionate, and judgment-free environment where you can openly discuss your concerns and goals. Our initial appointment is an opportunity for me to get to know you as a whole person—not just your symptoms. We'll complete a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, review your medical and mental health history, discuss your current challenges, and explore what you hope to achieve through treatment.

If appropriate, we'll discuss medication options, answer any questions you may have, and work together to develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your needs and goals. My goal is for you to leave your first appointment feeling heard, understood, and confident about the path forward. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring your progress, making treatment adjustments as needed, and supporting you throughout your mental health journey.
