Great to meet you!

I am Marney Vandemark, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Behavior Specialist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families with diverse emotional and behavioral needs. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University in 2008 and completed a Graduate Certificate in Addictions from Purdue University Global in 2018. I hold a certificate in trauma-Informed care from Drexel University College of Medicine I am also a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH), which allows me to offer secure and effective online therapy services.

My approach to therapy

I provide compassionate, evidence-based therapy tailored to each client’s strengths, values, and goals. I work collaboratively and relationally, creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard, supported, and gently challenged toward growth. I see clients ages 13 and up in individual, family, and couple or marital therapy, tailoring my approach to each person’s developmental stage, culture, and goals. In sessions, I emphasize a balance of support and accountability by clarifying what you want to change, identifying barriers, and translating insight into concrete next steps. I draw from several evidence-based approaches, including CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, ACT, MBSR, REBT, Reality Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, selecting tools to match your needs and preferences. My background as both a clinician and educator allows me to incorporate brief psychoeducation so you understand the “why” behind symptoms and interventions, which many clients find empowering. As a Certified Clinical Telemental Health Provider, I am comfortable working via secure virtual platforms and strive to make online sessions personal, structured, and engaging. Throughout our work together, I invite ongoing feedback so we can adjust pace, focus, and techniques in ways that best support your goals.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, collaborative, and structured first session where we begin building a safe space, clarify what brings you to therapy, and identify a few initial goals together.
