Great to meet you!

I speak Spanish and have experience living within other cultures. These have given me some insight into issues of privilege, discrimination, etc., and I enjoy working with members of cultures different from mine, including Native Americans, Black Americans, Asians, members of the military, the LGBTQ+ community and others. I only do individual therapy and only serve clients 17 and older.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I teach my clients energy techniques, such as Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and others. I also use Internal Family Systems, and often combine that with EMDR. I sometimes combine EMDR with Biofield Tuning; it works well, but there's no way to tell if it works better than EMDR alone. I do EMDR both in-person and online and both work equally well, though each client has their own preference. I use each client's spiritual beliefs to support therapy, regardless of what those beliefs are.

What you can expect from our first session

In your first session we will discuss what brings you to therapy, I'll start getting some historical information about you, and I will briefly describe my approaches to therapy. I offer tools to manage difficult emotions in the short term and freedom from the impacts of past traumas in the long term.
