Great to meet you!

I work with children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, OCD, autism spectrum disorders, and personality disorders. With over 30 years of lived experience in the mental health world and more than a decade of professional work with youth, I bring both clinical expertise and deep personal understanding to the work I do.

My path to social work was shaped by my own journey as a parent to an adult daughter with autism. That experience sparked a passion for advocacy and ultimately inspired me to return to school to earn my Master’s in Social Work from Fordham University. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals and families as they navigate parenting, life transitions, and complex emotional needs.

I use evidence-based practices alongside a compassionate, individualized approach to help clients strengthen resilience, improve daily functioning, and work toward meaningful goals. Whether I’m working with a child, teen, or adult, my priority is to create a safe, affirming space where each person feels seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, warm, and direct. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard and understood, while also gently challenging patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and elements of narrative therapy. Rather than adhering strictly to one method, I take an integrative approach tailored to your unique needs and goals. Together, we’ll explore what’s bringing you in, clarify where you want to go, and develop tools and insights to help you get there. I specialize in working with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem challenges, perfectionism, and major life transitions. Whether you're looking to build emotional resilience, improve your relationships, or reconnect with your sense of self, my goal is to support your growth in a way that feels empowering, grounded, and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, clients can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, respected, and genuinely understood. I strive to create an environment that is both compassionate and structured—one that encourages openness while also fostering meaningful progress. Together, we’ll identify what’s most important to you and set clear, realistic goals that align with your values and strengths. Whether we're working on managing anxiety, improving relationships, navigating a life transition, or building coping skills, my focus is on helping you develop practical tools, gain insight, and build emotional resilience. Over time, many clients report feeling more empowered, self-aware, and better equipped to handle life’s challenges with confidence and clarity.
