Hi! I'm Mar'Qiesha Stephens, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I have with a master’s degree in psychology and over a decade of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, geriatric individuals, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals with disabilities and co-occurring diagnoses in different settings.

I am passionate about working with adolescents, young adults, and those navigating the challenges of life transitions and have experience supporting individuals with concerns such as anger management, self-esteem, social skills, and mood disorders, and I adapt my approach to best fit each client’s goals and strengths.

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client's unique needs. I believe that counseling can be beneficial at any stage of life, as one can always build on practical skills, increase self-awareness, and foster meaningful change. I am committed to providing an inclusive, and empowering space where all clients feel valued and supported.

What you can expect from me

As we build a therapeutic relationship, clients can expect a genuine and safe, nonjudgmental environment where they can begin to share their story at their own pace and also have the opportunity to ask questions to get a sense of how the therapeutic process works. My priority is to help each client feel comfortable and supported throughout the therapeutic process.
