Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Marsha McDonald, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both New York and Georgia. I earned my undergraduate degree from York College and completed my graduate studies at Adelphi University.

As a psychotherapist, I work with adults and adolescents, helping them navigate a variety of emotional and psychological challenges. I support individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, hopelessness, fear, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed—offering a compassionate, nonjudgmental space to foster healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is practical and solution-focused. I view the therapeutic relationship as a collaboration—one where we work together to better understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. If you find yourself stuck in the past or consumed by worries about the future, you’re not alone. Negative thought patterns can deeply affect many aspects of our lives. Together, we’ll explore new, healthier ways of thinking and responding to life’s challenges.

What you can expect from me

I view therapy as a partnership between therapist and client. I specialize in working with women and young adults, addressing a range of challenges including anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns, among others. My goal is to support you on your path toward living a more genuine and fulfilling life. Together, we’ll create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable sharing your story.
