Great to meet you!

I want my clients to know that I genuinely care about their well-being and that I see each person as a whole individual, not simply as a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, and concerns.

As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I take a personalized and holistic approach to care. I listen carefully, collaborate with you, and take the time to understand your unique experiences, needs, and goals. I believe that effective mental health care should be a partnership, and I work with each client to develop an individualized treatment plan that supports their mental and emotional well-being.

Most importantly, I want you to know that you are not alone. I am here to listen, support you, and walk alongside you as you work toward healing, growth, and a better quality of life.

My approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is patient-centered, compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based. I believe every individual deserves to feel heard, respected, and actively involved in decisions regarding their mental health treatment.

I take time to understand each patient's symptoms, concerns, personal experiences, medical and psychiatric history, and treatment goals. I use this information to develop an individualized treatment plan that may include medication management, psychoeducation, supportive interventions, lifestyle recommendations, and collaboration with therapists and other healthcare professionals.

I also emphasize medication safety, ongoing monitoring, and open communication. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns and working toward improved emotional well-being, stability, and overall quality of life.

What you can expect from me

During the first session, clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment in which they can openly discuss their concerns and treatment goals. My priority is to understand each client as a whole person, not simply their symptoms or diagnosis.

We will review current concerns, psychiatric and medical history, medications, previous treatments, family and social history, sleep, mood, anxiety, substance use, and other factors that may be affecting overall well-being. I will also complete a mental health and safety assessment and discuss any questions or concerns the client may have.

Together, we will identify treatment priorities and develop an individualized plan of care. When appropriate, this may include medication management, education, lifestyle recommendations, therapy referrals, or collaboration with other healthcare providers. Clients are encouraged to ask questions and participate actively in treatment decisions so they leave the first session with a clear understanding of the recommended next steps.
