Great to meet you!
I am interested in helping you as my client to reach your full potential and to learn to navigate life’s difficulties and challenges to become fully functional and joyful. I believe that living in the present is essential to true lasting mental health and that much of our suffering is tied to holding on to the past and worrying about the future. I practice mindfulness and teach techniques to combat anxiety and depression. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to tackle negative thinking and symptoms of depression. I have a master’s degree in Community Counseling from Argosy University and have 12 years’ experience working with clients of all ages. I worked for 8 years leading the mental health department for a juvenile detention center and have been in private practice for the last 4 years.
