Great to meet you!
Finding the right counselor can feel like a big step, especially when you may already be feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or simply ready for something in your life to change. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and accepted for who you are.
My journey into counseling began as a Special Education teacher. Working with individuals and families taught me the importance of seeing the whole person—not simply their challenges or circumstances. I realized that I wanted to support people on a deeper, more personal level, which inspired me to pursue my passion for counseling. I graduated from Lamar University in 2019.
As a counselor, I take a holistic and individualized approach. I believe your experiences, relationships, emotions, values, and life circumstances are all connected, and I want to understand your story rather than simply focus on a diagnosis or problem. Together, we can explore what may be holding you back, strengthen your coping skills, work through difficult experiences, and identify meaningful steps toward healing and personal growth.
I have a special interest in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, addictions, life transitions, relationship concerns, and personal growth. I also recognize that reaching out for counseling can take courage. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin.
Whether you’re struggling with something that feels overwhelming or simply want support as you navigate a new chapter, I’m here to walk alongside you. My hope is that counseling becomes a place where you can gain clarity, discover your strengths, find renewed hope, and feel empowered to move forward.
