Great to meet you!

I provide counseling to adults 18 years of age and older. I draw from various theoretical and treatment modalities dependent on the client’s needs, including compassion focused therapy (CFT), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and attachment theory. I am experienced in working with clients who have diagnoses of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, among others, as well as individuals experiencing distress from life transitions and relationship challenges.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I offer a safe place for you to tell your story in an atmosphere of acceptance. Whether life has thrown you a curve or you find yourself on a “hamster wheel” repeating unhealthy patterns, these are times when self-exploration is the means to move forward. Therapy provides an avenue to identify patterns that no longer serve you, find the strengths that can sustain you, and develop resiliency to face new challenges. My approach is relational, educational, and client centered.

What you can expect from our first session

My strengths as a therapist are my genuine interest in you and your experience, compassionate objectivity, and a sense of humor. I am committed to seeing you as whole person, not merely a diagnosis or collection of behaviors, and then assisting you with clarifying your goals and reaching them.
