Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Marti Stany (she/they), a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals through significant life transitions, trauma recovery, and relationship challenges. I work with adults from diverse backgrounds and experiences. I specialize in trauma and sex therapy. My background includes military service, which has given me a deep understanding of trauma and the strength it takes to heal. Clients often describe me as compassionate, real, and insightful...with a sense of humor that can make the work feel a little lighter.

I serve people who want to understand themselves better, reconnect with their bodies, and feel more alive in their relationships. Many of my clients are individuals who are navigating burnout, people-pleasing, or a history of trauma that's ready to be acknowledged and healed.

My approach to therapy

I use a trauma-informed, mind-body approach that integrates talk therapy with somatic awareness, attachment work, and evidence-based modalities like EMDR. I meet you exactly where you are, and we go only as deep and fast as your nervous system is ready for. Therapy with me is relational, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that you are the expert on your life. I’m here to walk beside you, not ahead of you. I also welcome and honor spiritual and intuitive aspects of healing, including nature-based practices, and reclaiming sexuality as a part of wholeness.

What you can expect from me

I manage my full calendar on a different platform. Please message me (on this platform or by email) for full availability. [email protected]

You can expect to feel seen, supported, and gently challenged. Together, we’ll identify what’s holding you back (old patterns, beliefs, or wounds) and work to transform those into clarity, choice, and connection. My goal is for you to leave our sessions feeling more grounded in yourself, more empowered in your relationships, and more able to navigate life with intention and compassion.
