Great to meet you!
Dr. Martin H. Olivares is a bilingual and bicultural psychoanalyst, psychotherapist, and clinical supervisor with more than 20 years of experience in private practice, higher education, and community mental health. Grounded in psychoanalytic and object relations theory, he works with adults, adolescents, and couples experiencing complex trauma, relational difficulties, identity concerns, and emotional regulation challenges.
Dr. Olivares provides clinical supervision and professional training to emerging clinicians and previously served for over a decade as adjunct faculty and clinical supervisor at California Lutheran University. He completed his psychoanalytic training at the Psychoanalytic Center of California and is a member of the International Psychoanalytic Association.
His approach is thoughtful, relational, and culturally responsive, based on the belief that lasting change becomes possible when people feel deeply understood and supported as they explore previously unrecognized aspects of themselves.
