Great to meet you!

Marva Calder is board-certified (ANCC) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the Walden University (2019). She completed her undergraduate at American Sentinel University. Over the course of 22 years of nursing practice, she has had the privilege working in many diverse practice areas, including Trauma ER, primary care family practice, and pain management. Much of her experience has been in a Psychiatric ER emergency nurse.

My approach to therapy

Marva believe that anyone can achieve long-term psychological wellbeing. Because therapy is essential, my treatment guidelines emphasize the importance of physical activity, strengthening the mind, and adequate sleep. Additionally, effective communication, better coping skills, and more consistent nutrition are all also stressed. Medicines should be used in conjunction with these interventions and never as the sole focus of the client’s care.

What you can expect from me

Marva has dedicated herself to working with individuals with mental health needs. She is working hard to discover and identify individuals' qualities and challenges. She truly cares about her clients, and she wants to provide a holistic approach to their care. Marva's primary goal is to improve her patients' function and overall quality of life.
