Great to meet you!

I welcome you to walk with me on a journey of healing and thriving if you seek harmony, peace, resilience, and yes joy, in the face of life’s adversities. The stresses of life can bring on anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges, but psychotherapy can bring major improvement. We can work together utilizing various treatments-such as mindfulness, cognitive therapy and the underlying biological reactions to stress- in order to help you thrive.

I am a clinical neuropsychologist with over 35 years of experience. I especially enjoy helping those with neurodiverse brains find their own strengths to navigate this world. I also specialize in psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations, as well as in the treatment of anxiety/depression, personal growth and spiritual issues. I have particular expertise in neuropsychology, assessing a variety of brain based conditions in children, adolescents and adults and give life changing recommendations. I welcome inquiries regarding such conditions as neurodiversity, specific learning disabilities, AD/HD, other development disorders, as well as acquired and progressive neurological conditions, including dementia and cognitive impairment.

I also utilize a trauma based approach, offering services for Veterans and First Responders suffering the effects of PTSD. In addition I utilize the unique modality of Equine Assisted Psychotherapy to treat trauma and other mental health conditions.

My approach to therapy

I believe that each person has the ability to make changes in their approach to thinking and managing their lives. I don’t merely treat or assess symptoms. Instead, I utilize mindfulness and internal self regulation, and focus on the process of how the client learns and changes. My working philosophy is that we actively construct our view of reality and ultimately health. Reciprocal interaction between therapist and client shapes this process; but it is ultimately the responsibility of each individual to reach the goal of self actualization and ultimately healthy functioning. I serve you best as a facilitator of this process, offering a safe and sacred space to transform.

What you can expect from me

I welcome you to this safe space of warmth and support as we begin our journey together. I find that authenticity, vulnerability and yes humor will infuse our therapeutic relationship with trust and transformation. While we set mutual goals together for transformation and healing it is ultimately your choice as to how we share this time.
