Great to meet you!

I’ve enjoyed 20+ years as a biracial relational therapist who valued diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging since my childhood. Working in private practice, clinics and hospitals taught me how to use different treatments with care. Our unique personal growth happens in the context of interdependent relationships and community systems. You are invited to come just as you are and be the expert of your experience. Stay curious as you manage priorities which may change as you change.

My approach to therapy

I am trained in a variety of evidence based models: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma informed treatments, Family and Group work using many types of problem solving techniques. These can be used short term to longer term. You will know what model we are using and the time frames we are applying to each of your goals. In addition to being an active, reliable therapist, I will provide a bit of psychological education when you are open to concise information. I value your courage and your time.

What you can expect from me

I’m dedicated to you experiencing improvements in your life. We will thoroughly cover your concerns and reach a dynamic working understanding of your life in sessions. There are often next steps or one to two ideas to think about until our next meeting. At the end of a session there may be a summary plus your valuable feedback is always appreciated.
