Great to meet you!

Dr. Mary Atala is a clinical psychologist committed to providing culturally responsive care that values diversity and inclusion. She works with children, adolescents, adults, and parents, building strong connections with clients of all backgrounds. Using CBT and DBT, she helps clients navigate anxiety, self-injury, and emotional dysregulation to foster resilience and growth.

My approach to therapy

I approach therapy with compassion, authenticity, and curiosity, creating a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about starting to get to know one another and beginning to build the therapeutic relationship, which is one of the most important parts of therapy and something that develops over time. We'll spend time talking about what brought you to therapy, what's been going on in your life, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. I'll ask some questions as part of the intake process, but my goal is also to understand your story, your strengths, and what matters most to you. There is no pressure to have everything figured out, we'll start where you are and go from there
